INTERCESSORY PRAYER FORCE

Ezekiel 3:17            "Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me."
Colossians 4:2      "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving"

Prayer is vital to the ministry endeavors of Praise Cathedral.  In the Old Testament days, the ancient cities would post watchers throughout the night on the city walls to watch for any impending danger.  They would sound an alarm when danger approached.  The watchmen stayed alert in the night to any evil that would overtake the city.  The same idea applies to prayer.  Jesus admonished us to "watch and pray" so many times in His Word and almost always coupled the two together.  Prayer gives us eyes into the darkness of our world.  It allows us to see impending danger, anticipates and engages in spiritual warfare, and allows God's people to see into the spirit realm as God sees this world.  God's people then can "sound the alarm" and engage in the spiritual warfare necessary to defeat the enemy.  Praise Cathedral believes in the power of prayer!
